Jack Dever custom 98 Mauser 30-06. Jack was one of my favorite rifle smiths until his passing a few years ago. Jack was a bench rest shooter and past Shuetzenfest RF champion. He was a noted builder of fine fancy grade Mausers as well as utility hunting guns. I am selling this one for his son. It is a nice lightweight 98 Mauser with German proofs. Marked S/42G on top of receiver. Ramped front sight, silver soldered on. 3 leaf express rear. According to Jacks notes this one is built with a Bliss Titus CM #3 24"barrel and Timney trigger. The barrel is marked Bliss Titus 30-06. Camoflauge synthetic stock (Jack used Brown stocks. I think that is what this one is). Stock has a few chips in the paint. The matte blue is excellent. I may just keep this one. $1795
