Colt Series 70 45 acp Austin Behlert Mini Combat 45acp
Here is a neat Series 70 that Austin made into one of his mini combat 45's. BoMar adjustable rear sight. slide top is reprofiled flat top and serrated and the side has BHP slide cuts, hooked trigger guard, Behlert finger groove front stap, Looks like a Kings grip safety, extended thumb safety and slide stop, and Behlert custom markings.

Smith and Wesson Model 39 custom by Austin Behlert. Chopped slide and frame. Reprofiled slide top has integral sight rib. The person I bought it from advised the original owner was left handed so he had Austin craft an ambi safety for it. A neat little 39 conversion made back in the day before SW offered a compact 9mm. $1599

Colt Combat Commander S70 custom 45acp
I feel pretty certain this is a Kings Gun Works custom piece. Kings was in business from 1949 until ceasing business in 2009. This one has all the traits I have seen on other Kings customs I have owned in the past. Kings 201 Combat Speed Safety, Kings 202 Extended slide stop, and Kings 307 recoil buffer and heavy duty spring plug. The only Kings marking is on the spring plug. It also has the Swenson engineered barrel positioner. I have only seen these on vintage guns by Kings, Swenson and Jim Hoag. It has S&W white outline adjustable rear sights and custom red ramp front. The original dovetail is filled and unlike most done in the fashion it is almost undetectable. The trigger has a removable trigger shoe and a very nice trigger pull. The grip safety is pinned as was common in the days before civil liabilities were a major concern (on that note I strongly recommend that it be unpinned if the gun is to be carried). The mag well is nicely beveled and the gun has been hard chromed. Just a nice old school carry piece. $sold
